Ever since I watched Buzzfeed's (Ladylike) video on the main personalities trying the corset trend, I was fascinated to try it out for myself. The reason being it is a stylish way to accessories by adding an edgy touch to your outfit while tightening the waist. It magically gives you an hour-glass appearance with whatever outfit you have on. However, I admit, I was not about the tightening and tucking life which seemed like a hassle, not to mention painful. I know the saying beauty is pain but still....I was not ready to sacrifice my comfort but praise those who are.
So, when I found this belt that had the illusion of a corset but did not require the hassle of tucking and snatching, not to mention less painful than an actual corset, I bought it immediately.
It had something like buttons to connect the belt and it was tight enough to snatch the waist but not make me feel light-headed. Plus, it was only RM14.90 (USD 3. 53).
To my excitement, I wanted to mix and match outfits to be accessorized with the corset. So, here are the ways and tips on how I styled the "corset" belt.

Plain Shirt - Dress
The belt is a great ways to show off your waist while still looking chill with an oversized tee.
*Tip - Keep it short and simple
Don't pick a tee that goes pass your knees or with excessive graphics.

Night-Out Dress
When rocking a figure-hugging night-out dress, we tend to want to keep it simple but this belt gives the outfit just enough edge without ruining the beauty of it.
Style It Up!!
These are definitely my favourite looks because it gives everyday office-wear a fun and edgy twist while still keeping it chique.

Tighten It up
I am breaking the rules here!! Usually people never style a "corset" belt with a tight & figure-hugging casual outfit. But...Why not?
Sun - Dress
Sometimes sun-dresses can be a little bit too innocent, the "corset" belt is a great way to edge up the dress while still being flowy and pretty.
I change my mind xD This is actually my favourite outfit!! Because it is so simple and pretty <3
